The one with boozy popsicles

Last month I treated myself to popsicles molds and immediately put them to good use by making strawberry and greek yoghurt popsicles. In the comments Kerry from Love Those Hands at Home suggested to make boozy ones the next time. Sounded like a perfect plan to me! So here you have it, boozy popsicles, inspired by a cocktail I like: Amaretto sours.

What you'll need:
  • half a lemon
  • a big glass of cloudy applejuice
  • a big tablespoon of honey
  • a shotglass of Amaretto
Squeeze the juice from the lemon

In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients and give a good stir

Fill the molds, I had enough mixture for five popsicles

Put the molds in the freezer, I let them freeze for 24 hours

Have you ever made boozy treats? Or do you have a favourite cocktail recipe that might be turned into popsicles?

  6. Never tried one, but they sound great. I'm off alcohol right now because of meds, but I'll save this in my recipe file.

  11. Once upon a time I totally failed at making alcoholic ice cubes. I have to admit I haven't really tried again since! I like that these have Amaretto instead of the usual vodka or rum. Very nice!

  12. I actually had an Amaretto Sour for the first time the other day and it was delicious, what a genius idea to turn it into a popsicle! I love Amaretto so I don't know why I hadn't had one before. These look perfectly refreshing, summery and a bit naughty all at the same time :) xx

    1. I was a bit surprised they froze! Maybe it's the amount of alcohol?
