The first weekend of april my friend R. came over for a visit. She lives in the northern part of the Netherlands. It's about 2,5 hours away, so we don't see eachother very often. That day, it was a beautiful and sunny spring day, so we had a little walk. Destination: 'de Honig fabriek'. It's an old factory that made soups, but nowadays it serves as a cultural hotspot, with restaurants, a brewery, an art gallery and it houses lots of artists and small companies. In case you like to see more about this place, I blogged about it before over here. Today I'm sharing some street art over at the factory, and some that we spotted on our way there.

The street art is amazing! I always find old factory buildings charming. It's great that it now has an art gallery in it! Cool pic of you and your friend :)
ReplyDeleteI love it when they give old buildings a new purpose. There are also some churches throughout the Netherlands that function as a bookstore now.
DeleteThis sounds like a great outing--and the street art is wonderful. I really like the little girl and the moon balloon!
ReplyDeleteI love it when a day throws me little surprises like this :-)
DeleteI love the moon as a balloon mural! There's a fun street art area in Honolulu we visit occasionally because there's a super delicious bakery/sandwich shop there.
ReplyDeleteAn extra reason to visit that yummy bakery :-)
DeleteI am digging all these graffiti, Marieken. Truly works of art:) Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletePS I do my own hair, and my husbands shaves the sides:D
Good teamwork!
DeleteI love street art. We have quite a bit around the Inner West in Sydney :)
