Last saturday was my day off, and I needed to get some things done on the other side of our City's centre. I decided to take the scenic route through the park back home, and was amazed by how stunning it looks at this time of the year. Below I am sharing some of the photos taken (with my phone, no filters added), hope they bring you some joy on this monday!

The one with the things I liked this week (91)
Started today by getting some (not all of these) treats at the market
Seeing some red little ones on an after work walk
My friend R gave my balcony a makeover.....
Meanwhile, my friend L and me, did some early holiday crafting
A spontaneous trip to Ikea last sunday
Where somewhat magically, this pear and cat patterned duvet cover appeared in my cart
Seen on an evening walk
And how about some colourful candles?
How was your week? And how has your weekend been so far? Hope you are having a good one, cheers!

The one with a walk in (and to) the park
Just some random pictures taken on a sunday walk. In between rainshowers there was a little bit of sun, so I took the opportunity to spend a bit of time outside and walk through the park. The fish mosaic is part of an artsy looking bench.

The one with the things I liked this week (66)
Days flew by this week and I can't believe weekend's almost here again. Reason for that might be that monday was a national holiday and I mostly stayed away from all things work related. We annually celebrate Liberation Day on may 5th, to mark the end of the occupation during World War II. Festivals are held at many places and a parade is held with veterans in the city of Wageningen. Part of the parade are old airplanes, of which many flew over my F & R's backyard (where I made some new friends as well), where we celebrated the liberation with a glass of champagne and some very tasty chocolates. I think it's great that we take a moment each year to celebrate and appreciate our freedom, the fact that we can speak our minds, and we live in a country where (most) people respect each other.
Other than that, I came across a guy hidden in some green on a bikeride on my way to lunch with R & L. I did some window shopping after work, where I came across this truer than true quote: 'Life's too short to blend in'. I'm not quite sure if I like the last photo though. Not being in my twenties anymore might take some special 'tools' to fight gravity. At least I think the package looks good :-) I also like that this brand doesn't test on animals. I have high hopes that the mirror will tell me one of these days that I don't look a day over 18!
How was your week? Special plans for the weekend?

The one with musical clocks
Last weekend me and my mom visited Utrecht. Our first stop was Museum Speelklok, which is the Dutch word for musical clock. Except those, it also has a large collection of musical boxes, organs and pianolas. Not the kind of music I listen to, and I didn't expect it to be my cup of tea, but I ended up liking it a lot. One of the reasons is because they served their hot beverages (Sheldon!) with monkey cookies. My mom blogged about this museum too. Oh, and the museum is situated in a former medieval church, which I think is kind of awesome.
After that we had a walk around the city centre and we ended up at the University Museum. Both of us hadn't been there before (to be honest, I never even heard of it before). If you're interested in science, this museum is definitely worth a visit. There's also a botanical garden, that was owned by the university and is now part of the museum and it's tended by a group of volunteers. Even though it's november, there was quite a lot to see.

The one with the things I liked this week (part 39)
These guys
To compensate a rather dull jewelry trade show: cheese!
Finally got to give these lovely fabrics scraps to a friend.
I got them from Sarah Waterhouse. Printed by hand
on sustainable fabric in her own studio.

The one with all the nature
Last weekend I left the comfort of the city (and my comfort zone) and take a walk and some photo's in the park. Most of my time is spend in the city. I love buildings, concrete, places where you can sit (on a comfy chair) and have a fresh cup of coffee, and I like shops. I don't need to go inside them, but it's nice to know that if I am in sudden need of a new pair of jeans, I can just go and get them. Camping's not for me, I prefer a hotel with a bed and a closet to hang my clothes. I don't like bugs and getting my shoes dirty. Two weeks ago, a bird pooped on my head (and not just a little bit of poop, it was the result of a very big meal), so I am not a big fan of those either. And outdoorsy is the last word my friends would use to describe me.
