The one with Dorothy Parker

Lately, I've seen lots of Dorothy Parker quotes floating around on Pinterest that made me smile. I wondered who this woman was, who said things like 'this wasn't just plain terrible, this was fancy terrible, this was terrible with raisins in it'. She has even been quoted by Sheldon Cooper. In my search for information about Dorothy, I came across this very lovely poem.

Do you have a favourite poet and/or poem?

  3. Poetry always is a tough one for me. I either love it or hate it. I find I have no middle ground. And it's not a particular poet or style that I like ... each poem gets judged on it's own merits.

    This one ... I like!

  4. Great poem. Love the shout-out to Sheldon Cooper! I remember that line - "Oh what fresh hell is this?" Frasier quoted that line too. :)
