A couple of weeks ago I visited Utrecht with my mom. Our destination was Museum Catharijneconvent. The building where it is situated, is a medieval convent and it's amazing. The museum shows the past and present of christianity in the Netherlands. I was a bit afraid it would have been a bit dull. Boy, was I wrong! The way the art was presented, interactive with touchscreens and videos, made it all very interesting. We wandered around for a couple of hours, and before we knew it, the museum was closing its doors for the day. We definitely want to go back, and we'll make sure we'll be there early in the morning, so we have enough time to see everything. After being all cultural and things, we wandered around the city and did a bit of (window) shopping. I've found some interesting things, like Dora hanging around in a tree.
I hate having my picture taken, and I normally make sure that I get away when I see a camera. Today I made an exception.
I think this is my favorite of your city tour posts so far. I love the dora balloon in the tree. And the shot of you! I have the same birkenstocks and a version of your tunic too!
ReplyDeleteI love the Birks! They might not be very fashionable, but they sure are very comfy.
DeleteAll of those buildings look amazing. I'd love to see them in person.
ReplyDeleteAnd many more, it's a great city.
Deletelove the quirky objects you found, window shopping's so fun!
ReplyDeleteYes it is! And so much better for my wallet than plain shopping.
DeleteI love the pictures of the storefronts in the city... they have so much more character than most of the cities around here. Yay for making an exception! I like your top!
ReplyDeleteLove the houses lined up on the water! And it's great to see a picture of you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hate having my picture taken, but every now and then it needs to be done :-)
DeleteThank you! I might :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. I do like museums! The little girl heads at the bottom are hysterical!! I know what you mean about photos of yourself. I'm the same way. Whenever someone takes a picture of my I make them promise they won't post it on facebook!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, you are adorable! You look just fine in the picture.
Thank you Sheryl!
