Since Etsy hasn't brought Treasuries back (yet)(but with the new CEO I am hoping they will be bringing the 'old' Etsy back), I am sharing some of my favourite finds here today. I am especially smitten with that dream of a mirror! Just to be clear, this post is just for fun, it's not in any way sponsored by Etsy, or the featured sellers.

The one with a visit to Museum Kurhaus
On april 27th we celebrate King's Day in the Netherlands. It's a national holiday, where we celebrate King Willem-Alexander's birthday. Traditionally the festivities involve music, flea markets, red-white-and-blue flags adorn houses and we eat orange coloured 'tompoucen', typically Dutch pastry that's pink coloured normally, and it's impossible to eat them in a chic way! The King himself celebrates by visiting a different city each year.
Me and my mum fled the country and hustle and bustle of the city. We wanted to visit Museum Kurhaus in Kleve for quite some time and we thought it might be a perfect day to do some art-watching. Kleve is just across the border in Germany, and only half an hour away by car. Does it sound familiar? Whenever you are on a holiday, you do all sorts of stuff and visit special places, but the things that are closer to home go onto the one-day-I'll-do-that-list? And my apologies for the picture heavy-ness of this post!
The museum is housed in a former spa, isn't it gorgeous?
We had a lunch break, with waffles, warm cherries and cream, big Yum!
I love that there's a printing press in the background of this photo!
After visiting the museum, we had a stroll through the park.
The museum is definitely something I would recommend. There something for everyone, photography, paintings, sculptures, textiles. I really liked the variety. Also, if you like architecture, the building by itself is worth the visit. More info on the museum can be found on their website (only in German and Dutch).
A little blast from the past, more Kings Day posts over here, here, and here

The one with a shop update
As you may know, I have a shop on Etsy, and for a while now, I wasn't happy with the photos that accompanied my listings, so I gave my Etsy shop a little make over. I think the new photos make the items look more appealing, and make them stand out more in the crowd when they pop up in search results. To celebrate the new look of the shop, I am offering a 10% discount until the end of the month on all items by using code APRIL10.
Besides giving the items that were already in the shop a little make over, some brand new products were added too. Last friday the mailman dropped of a box full of black baby rompers and black and dark grey baby t-shirts for printing. I love that I am able now to order not just white and pastel colours for the little ones. Can't wait to start designing and printing them! In case you would like to order something with your own quote or design, don't hestitate to drop me a line.

The one at 'de Honig fabriek'
The first weekend of april my friend R. came over for a visit. She lives in the northern part of the Netherlands. It's about 2,5 hours away, so we don't see eachother very often. That day, it was a beautiful and sunny spring day, so we had a little walk. Destination: 'de Honig fabriek'. It's an old factory that made soups, but nowadays it serves as a cultural hotspot, with restaurants, a brewery, an art gallery and it houses lots of artists and small companies. In case you like to see more about this place, I blogged about it before over here. Today I'm sharing some street art over at the factory, and some that we spotted on our way there.

The one with signs of spring
Although we are having a rainy day, and more rain is being predicted for the rest of the week, the first signs of spring are here! I am happy as a bird with a french fry whenever I see the sun peeping through the clouds, or pretty pink blossoms. How are things weather-wise in your neck of the woods? Looking forward to spring?

The one with an after work walk
A couple of weeks ago I decided to take a different route home from work. These are some of the things I found on my walk. It still amazes me how many wonderful spots my hometown has!

The one with sunny Etsy picks
After a weekend with some sunshine, and temperatures that were pretty high for winter, we are back to cold days again. But I've got summer on my mind. Already! That's why I made this post with some sunny Etsy picks. I miss making treasuries on Etsy (and being featured in them with my shop, cause they were always good for extra views, and when one of my items was in a treasury that made it to the front page, that always got me some sales). I miss seeing pretty items I didn't know I needed in my life, or that made a perfect gift for a friend (yay for handmade presents, retrieved from small independed shops!). Seeing these bright colours (I even managed to squeeze in a pretty door!) make me happy, and in my mind I am already spending time reading books outside in the sun, accompanied by a yummy cocktail!

The one with the cool choreography
Just wanted to share this video involving two things I really like: Justin Timberlake and dancing. Hope you'll love it as much as I do!
