Last saturday I tagged along with mum to the garden centre. I got some lovely lavender and in two weeks I have a 'gardening date' with a friend, to make the balcony summer proof. It has been looking kind of sad after winter. Sorry for the amount of photo's in this post, it became a bit picture heavy....
They're all so pretty! I want to get a few plants for my new studio at some point. I'm thinking succulents or blooming cactus...something that doesn't need much water (as I tend to forget!).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers and cacti! Which ones did you choose for your balcony?
ReplyDeleteNone of these! For now just the lavender. I wanted to wait a bit longer, cause the nights are still cold :-( Oh, and welcome to Instagram!
DeleteI don't mind the amount of pictures, they're all so pretty! I love all the colours that you've captured. Plants can be so beautiful! This post makes me want to fill my house with flowers xx
ReplyDeleteMe too! I wish I was a bit better at taking care of them :-)
DeleteYour pics just made me wish for warmer weather even more. Look at all those colours! :)
ReplyDeleteThere were even glow in the dark cacti!
DeleteI have got to find some of those from your first photo! They'd be perfect with my succulents! Looks very fun.
ReplyDeleteThe first ones are my favourites :-)
DeleteNice pics! I've got some lavender on the balcony as well for now. Have to get some lovely flowers soon for our roof terrace. Normally I go to local greenhouses to get my new set of plants. You'll often get good value for the money over there.
ReplyDeleteI am terrible with plants, but for some reason I seem to be able to keep the lavender alive :-)
DeleteGreat photos! I especially love the cactus photos, probably because I love green. I never thought to photograph a trip to the nursery, you can sure get some great pictures doing that. Some of your photos would be perfect in using to make backgrounds (my post subject today) for all kind of things!
ReplyDeleteI take my camera everywhere, I do feel a bit uncomfortable taking photo's sometimes :-)
DeleteDo you take your camera or do you use your phone? My new phone takes decent pictures but I still keep my camera with me because I feel like I can get much better photos from it. Sometimes I feel funny too, but I think taking photos of everyday life seems to be a trend and a lot of people are doing it. I think I would have felt funnier several years ago.
DeleteYour pictures are absolutely beautiful! I tend to visit our nursery on a weekly basis, especially once the weather gets a bit warmer. Can't wait to see how your balcony turns out!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andi! I wish there was a nursery somewhere nearby, I would go more often too.
DeleteWow! This is fantastic photos and so neat how you make a layout! Perfect pattern and colorful! Looking forward to a new week! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Lana!
Deleteno apologies necessary...........gorgeous! love all the cacti!
ReplyDeleteSo do I, I think I need to go back and treat myself :-)
DeleteThanks Marianna!
ReplyDeleteDon't apologize for the photos! This kind of post is the only thing that's keeping me going--we still have lots of snow on the ground!
ReplyDeleteSnow sounds terrible, we've only had snow around here for two times. And each time it snowed for less than 15 minutes.
DeleteNo need to apologize for pictures of mini cacti! They're some of my favorites! I can't wait to see what you and your friend put together.
ReplyDeleteI am not really in to gardening, but I am looking forward to our green adventure!
DeleteOh my goodness, I love all the photos. So spring-y , colourful and amazingly cheery. I need to get some of those pretty little cacti. Kisses, sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to go back and get some of the cacti with the pink flowers, they look so happy :-)
DeleteNeither can I :-)
ReplyDeleteI love cactus and succulents so this is a fun post for me to peruse. Can't wait to see what you put together for your spring balcony garden!
