A couple of weeks ago, I posted about doors. I was more than happy to have found out that I am not the only one who is fascinated with doors and the sense of mystery that comes along with them. Some of these might not be the prettiest doors, but something about them caught my eye. Like a rusty fence, a lace curtain or the pretty cherubs living above it. My favourite is the last one: tall, darkish and handsome! Which one is yours?
Simply amazing doors! I love the one at Nr. 66 :)
ReplyDeleteI believe they are making that building into a hotel now, I'd love to see the result!
DeleteI like the very last one! Is that a dark blue?
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Savannah last week, I keep noticing the doors, too.
Hoping to see some of those doors on your blog! The last one is some sort of blue, no idea what that colour's called.
DeleteI love the last one too! I made a treasury today, had a similar Blue door in that!!
ReplyDeleteLovely pics:)
Now I want to paint my door blue too!
DeleteTotally with you on that....the last one is so beautiful...The colour is superb! Kisses, sweetie. Have a great day! xo
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good day too Diana!
Deleteohhhh, I like the dark wooden one.

Yes! I really liked those carvings in it.
DeleteThe difference of styles between the cherubs and the green door strikes me as the most interesting, but I do love the color of the last one.
ReplyDeleteI think it's not the original door. My mom thinks the building used to house a bank, I can imagine there would have been a different door on that one.
DeleteLove pops of colour too. Mine's red, but not a very good shade...
ReplyDeleteI love blue:) Our door is blue as well, so the first and last are my fave:)
ReplyDeletePS Congrats on being featured in Reader's Digest. Woohoo!
Thanks, pretty excited about that :-)
DeleteI love finding pretty doors like these! Just perfect :)

DeleteI love DOORS!! I think they are so pretty and I think I found so many amazing doors in Savannah. I love the last picture with the blue door. Whenever I think of doors I think of Notting Hill when Hugh Grant tells Julia Roberts he's just over there with the blue door.
ReplyDeleteSavannah looks like it's a great place, now I have another addition to the places I'd like to visit. And I love Notting Hill, such a long time since I've seen that one.
DeleteMy favourite is the second one. The decoration on top is so unusual! Thanks to you Marieken, I'll never look at doors the same way again! xx
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteI like the dark wooden one, with the arch on top--it looks solid and respectable and vintage--sort of like me! ;-)

Deletethe last blue one reminds me of dublin. I ike the modern one with the very rocco/renaisance cherubs above. so unexpected. my favorite, I'll have to go with the stained wood door with the glass partitions above. pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat one's awesome too! I'd love to go door-watching in Dublin.
DeleteDoors are a fabulous subject to photograph. I love the range of styles and colors here.
ReplyDeleteThey're one of my favourite subjects, they never bore me!
DeleteBeautiful doors! The first one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteI like how sunny things are looking in that photo, and the pretty pink flowers :-)
DeleteI like the one with the grates across - the patterns look like stars. X
ReplyDeleteEven though it's pretty rusty, it still looks fab!
DeleteYou do have some ornate doors over there! My favorite is the sixth one down. As I'm seeing this I'm realizing that we really need to paint our front door. The sun has completely changed the color from hunter green to a weird shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious now about the colour your door is, and how weird a weird shade of blue is :-)
DeleteHow can I choose? I love everything I see! :)
