I think I could spend all winter inside, curled up on the couch, with a stash of books, cups of tea, cookies and Damien Rice's new album. Gorgeous song!
Last weekend I heard Tonight, Tonight, by the Smashing Pumpkins on the radio. It's one of my favourite songs of all time, and I wondered what the Pumpkins have been up to lately. I discovered a new song was released last month.
Over at Man Repeller, Jake Isaacs' voice is being described as 'your favourite sunday sweater'. Wondering what my favourite sunday sweater sounds like, I give it a listen. And I like what it sounds like.
Do you like discovering new music? Do you have a go to place to find new tunes? I'd love to know if you have any recommendations.
I love the whole album that Tonight Tonight is on by the Smashing Pumpkins. Those songs take me back :) Their new song is great too.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I listen to more old music than I do new music.
I love that whole album too! I don't think some of the songs are suitable for work, but I will need to dust it of during the weekend, at home!
DeleteOh wow! This is the first time I've heard Jake Isaac. Awesome! I've been obsessing lately over Taylor Swift's new album and her song "Style" :D
ReplyDeleteIs it good? I looked it up at Spotify, but it's not available there.
DeleteOh yes, I do love discovering new music. I just purchased two albums (probably not what they are called anymore) for my devices. I bought the soundtrack to Burlesque because most of the songs are excellent to workout to. While I was at the google play store, I decided to purchase the latest collection by Rob Thomas. Now I can't wait to get a new car so I can hook up my phone to the radio instead of putting in CDs.
ReplyDeleteI used to listen to Matchbox 20 obsessively for a while. They have great songs!
DeleteI love most every genre of music, but I prefer to let others "discover" new songs and then share them. so, thank you. :0)

You're welcome Debbi :-)
DeleteWat een fijne muziek! Vooral Jake Isaac! Ik luister Tamara Laurel en Quentin Hannappe (I Wanna Be)
ReplyDeleteVan de eerste heb ik nog nooit gehoord, van de tweede zat er laatst een nummer bij een van je blog posts toch? Klonk leuk!
DeleteWhoa, I didn't know the Pumpkins were still making music! That's a blast from the past. :-)
ReplyDeleteThey do! But I think most of the past bandmembers, quit, joined again and quit again. And in between they apparantly have been making some music too.
DeleteI used to live at a recording studio (there was an apartment attached) and Smashing Pumpkins recorded there while I was living there. They were all really nice. :)
ReplyDelete15 year old me would be so jealous :-)
DeleteI have to admit that when I first read "Mister Rice," I was kind of hoping it would be like the Mr. Potato Head toy, only with rice. That probably doesn't make much sense, but this imaginary product I imagined would have made a great gift for my husband!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mr. Potato Head has a distant cousin named Rice?
DeleteI haven't heard a Smashing Pumpkins song in a really long time! I had no idea that they have a new release out. Thanks!
ReplyDeletewow love damien Rice I already put it on my pinterest where I collect some good ones
