Last year I spotted someone wearing the most awesome pair of Converse sneakers. One half black leather, the other half panther print. I started searching the internet for a similar pair and found nothing alike. That was until I discovered that the Converse website offers you the opportunity to design your own pair. All excited, I started designing. You can pick a model, colours, prints, lining, stitching, laces... I felt like a kid in a candystore! That was until the last step: the people of Converse don't offer international shipping. So here I was, with a virtual pair of perfect sneakers, and no chance to actually getting them. A couple of days ago, I came across a pair that got close enough, and with some birthday-money left, I ordered them. No black leather, but I think the gold coloured stitching makes up for most of that.
Very cool -- Converse makes the best sneakers! That's awesome that you can design your own -- except for international shipping -- I wonder why they don't offer it!

ReplyDeleteMy Converse days are behind me, but I still have the last pair I ever bought —and seldom wore.They have the same colors as yours, but they're brocade all over. Golden brocade on deep brown.
I bet you'll get a lot of compliments on your new shoes :)
