The one with DaWanda's pop up store

Last sunday I travelled to Amsterdam with my mom. Almost two weeks ago we (me, mum and aunt M.) worked nearly non-stop to get two boxes full of printed tote bags, baby onesies, notebooks, and postcards ready in time for the pop-up store DaWanda opened this weekend.

Sorry for the amount of pictures in this post. I guess this most be some sort of proud momma thing  :-)  I loved seeing 'my' things in a real brick and mortar shop (other than my own), everything looked really cool, and I got much inspiration on how I can display some of the items in my own shop!

Love the oxblood bag and print

On sunday, Bobini was making personalized rings and cuffs at the shop.

The shop is located in Amsterdam, Gerard Doustraat 76. More info can be found on DaWanda's Facebookpage. Many other charming shops are close by. A pair of Chucks I haven't spotted anywhere else yet (striped, bit of a tweed-look and shiny black toes) wanted to go home with me. And who am I to say no to a pair of awesome shoes? I'm afraid I am developing a bit of a sneaker addiction.....

The one with some online shopping

The problem with shopping for others (this month one of my friends' babygirl will celebrate her first birthday) is, that I happen to come across things I didn't know I needed in my life up until I came across them. I did find the perfect gift over at DaWanda (which is still a secret, the birthday hasn't been celebrated yet!), and these five goodes caught my eye. They are on my wishlist, but they might end up in my shopping cart one day! Did you discover any goodies lately? Indulged into some  actual shopping perhaps?

The one with pretty things (found at DaWanda)

Aren't these all pretty? Have you been eyeing any goodies lately? I think one (or some) of these might end up at my shopping cart. Sometimes things just happen to wind up in there, just like that....

The one with awesome Etsy finds

Seriously, how awesome is that Freddy doll? Ever since I spotted this guy, I can't seem to be getting bicycle race out of my head. Have you spotted (or maybe even treated yourself to) some online goodies?

The one with the thrift shop finds

Just when I was about to give up on the thrift shop after multiple unsuccesful visits, I found these little treasures! The best part was that they cost only € 4,- (just over 5 USD) all together. The little wooden tray might need a little improvement and could be the victim of a DIY project. No idea yet what this project could be, suggestions are very welcome!. Do you like to go thrifting? What's the latest treasure you found?

The one with 'Ondersteboven'

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Jolijn, asking me if I would like to sell some of my items in her shop. She runs a 'real' brick and mortar shop in my town's city center. The name of the shop is Ondersteboven (which is the Dutch word for upside down), and it's the perfect place for finding graphic art, vintage, zines, music, gifts and stationery. Last saturday I dropped of some shoppingbags, notebooks and postcards. More info about the shop can be found here.

The one with the new shoes

Last year I spotted someone wearing the most awesome pair of Converse sneakers. One half black leather, the other half panther print. I started searching the internet for a similar pair and found nothing alike. That was until I discovered that the Converse website offers you the opportunity to design your own pair. All excited, I started designing. You can pick a model, colours, prints, lining, stitching, laces... I felt like a kid in a candystore! That was until the last step: the people of Converse don't offer international shipping. So here I was, with a virtual pair of perfect sneakers, and no chance to actually getting them. A couple of days ago, I came across a pair that got close enough, and with some birthday-money left, I ordered them. No black leather, but I think the gold coloured stitching makes up for most of that.
