The one with the things I liked this week (140)

I spotted these shoes over two months ago on Instagram, and I finally managed to get myself a pair of these shiny sneakers!

Seen on a walk to the mailbox

Christmas is getting closer, the first sign of it

Since a while we are selling Tony's Chocolonely in the brick and mortar shop. It's a Dutch brand that uses slave-free cocao beans in their bars. The are well known for their not so usual flavours (a limited edition's out now with popcorn and discodip). Every once in a while I need to check what it is I am selling, right? This one is with orange and rosemary.
Talking business, I started another Instagram account, where I show what I do on weekdays, during the day. My other account (which consists of lots of doors and windows, quirky things I see on the streets that made me smile, and the occasional vintage car is here).

Enjoy your sunday!

The one with the things I liked this week, and the week before

Those sniffles turned into the flu, and most of my time was spent on my mothers couch. Together with blankets, hot water bottles, tea, fresh juices, and bowls of soup. Not much worth photographing was seen the beginning of this week, and the last half of the week before that. That´s why I combined those two weeks into one post. I hope the flu hasn´t found you, and you´re having a great weekend!

Parties in the streets

One of my favourites shops happens to be just around the corner

Not the friendliest of garden gnomes. When I shot this one, I thought they were just waving hello

I do love leopard print everything!

Going to a nearby fabric shop

Spring is on its way!

The one with the things I liked this week (92)

Discovering two new works of art on the street, if the whole alphabet's
there, there are many more to be found!

These were a gift from mom, I didn't fall of Paige's no shopping challenge-wagon (yet)!

Grocery shopping for a fondue-party. I know I could be making my own,
but the cheese from these packages are actually my favourite!

Making, photographing, and listing new stuff for the shop

After receiving new washi tapes for the brick and mortar shop, I decided to
keep these for myself!

The one with the golden sneakers tutorial

On a recent sunday Pinterest session, I came across an awesome pair of sneakers. They were the inspiration for this tutorial. It's a pretty easy one, without lots of supplies needed.

What you'll need:

  • A pair of sneakers with plastic toes
  • spraypaint
  • tape
  • optional, nailpolish in the same colour as your spraypaint

What you'll need to do:
Start by taping the front part of the shoes, just so that only the plastic part of the sneakers will be coloured when you start spraying them.

Spray them, my sneakers needed three layers to cover the white up nicely.

Let them dry well, I left the tape on overnight.

And done are your coloured-toed-sneakers. For a finishing touch I added some golden nailpolish to the tips of the laces. To make them extra fancy.

Have you been making any cool stuff lately? If so, please feel free to share a link in the comments below. In case you're interested in more DIY inspiration, more tutorials are over here

The one with the things I liked this week (75)

Last saturday I visited Amsterdam with Mandy,
we did some ooh-ing + aah-ing over expensive shoes

Must have been some party we came across

My latest thrift store finds

Receiving an awesome card, with equally awesome stamps

The latest addition to my household. Popsicles were made the same day,
more on that next week

Hope you'll be having a fabulous weekend!

The one with the trip to 's-Hertogenbosch

Last saturday I had lunch with some old school friends (or oldschool friends?) in the city of 's-Hertogenbosch. I lived there for almost 2 years and it's one of my favourite cities. Lots of places with good food and drinks, small streets and a Zara (which we don't have over here). There's also a store where you can gush over shoes like Louboutins and a store that's named 'the Chocolate Company'.

Urban decay

My wallet is very happy that I am not able to walk in heels

not my best photography-work, but the train was moving - fast

The one with the new shoes

Last year I spotted someone wearing the most awesome pair of Converse sneakers. One half black leather, the other half panther print. I started searching the internet for a similar pair and found nothing alike. That was until I discovered that the Converse website offers you the opportunity to design your own pair. All excited, I started designing. You can pick a model, colours, prints, lining, stitching, laces... I felt like a kid in a candystore! That was until the last step: the people of Converse don't offer international shipping. So here I was, with a virtual pair of perfect sneakers, and no chance to actually getting them. A couple of days ago, I came across a pair that got close enough, and with some birthday-money left, I ordered them. No black leather, but I think the gold coloured stitching makes up for most of that.
