Doors are among my favorite subjects for photo-taking. After my last door post, I thought that needed to be the last one, because I can imagine not everyone is a door aficionado like me. But after the post about our day in Zwolle, I noticed that there are more of you who like them (or you guys were being polite). So here it is, another post solely dedicated to doors. 

I thought it might be a fun idea, to make another post, with your doors in the spotlight! If you're up for it, you can drop me a line at yourinvisiblecrown@gmail.com including a photo of your door and a link to your blog (if you have one). Let's say somewhere before the end of this month? I'll post your doors (include your link) in the beginning of june. It doesn't have to be a good one, I think if there's an award for most horrific looking door, mine would certainly be a nominee.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted about doors. I was more than happy to have found out that I am not the only one who is fascinated with doors and the sense of mystery that comes along with them. Some of these might not be the prettiest doors, but something about them caught my eye. Like a rusty fence, a lace curtain or the pretty cherubs living above it. My favourite is the last one: tall, darkish and handsome! Which one is yours?

Yesterday I took an early walk. I love it when (most) of the city is still asleep, and I have the city all to myself. Another bonus on early sundaymornings, is that I don't feel like I'm getting stares from people thinking what it is I am doing all by myself, with my camera, photographing things that are not very interesting to most people. Back in january, I did another door post, and I've seen so many good looking doors yesterday, that there might be a part 3. Amongst these are the door of a synagoge and the door of a fancy restaurant. 

I don't know where this fascination with doors comes from. Maybe it's that they are a bit of a mystery. They are the beginning to someone else's world. Who is it that lives behind this door? What does it look like on the inside? Are the people living here happy? Do they know they have a door worth being photographed? Are there any things in particular that you like to photograph? For a minute, seeing this scene on the streets, I thought I was walking around in a charming 

little town somewhere in the Mediterranean. Until I couldn't feel my gloveless fingers (to take 

this picture) anymore and realized I was walking aroung in my hometown instead.
