Yesterday my mum and I took a little trip to Breda. Our first stop was the Museum of the Image (website here). It was the first day of a new exhibition named Couture Graphique, which was about fashion not just being about looking pretty. It's also meant to give ourselves an identity and communicate who we are. Some of the brands represented were Raf Simons, Paul Smith, Viktor & Rolf, Louis Vuitton and Bas Kosters. Unfortunately, the museum-people were very fuzzy about taking camera's inside of the museum. I did manage to smuggle in my phone, and I took a very terrible picture of a very beautiful Viktor & Rolf dress. After that, we walked through the park to our lunch. I was terrified to see that there were like a gazillion birds, chickens and roosters in the park. I haven't managed to watch 'the Birds', but I can only imagine what those creatures are capable of. Last stop was the Breda Museum, it had an exhibition about Dutch romantic painter Petrus van Schendel, which was pretty awesome.

Breda and its museum sounds like a wonderful place! I live only 15 minutes by car from the Dutch border, but so far have only gone as far as Nijmegen to visit friends. Breda is on my list of places to go :)ReplyDelete
I live in Nijmegen :-) We do have some good places, but some of them are a bit hard to find I guess. Breda is great for a daytrip, so is Den Bosch.Delete
Sounds like a fun day!ReplyDelete
Birds creep me out too...lol :)
I love the street art with the robots...fun colors!
Happy to hear I am not the only one who is creeped out by birds :-)ReplyDelete
Sound great, would love to go there too.ReplyDelete
have a great Monday !
Nice pictures. I love the Friends reference in your titles.ReplyDelete
What a fun time, I wish we had a chance to visit more museums.ReplyDelete
And that lunch looks so divine by the way, yum!
The street art is definitely my favorite shot! I don't know how I would feel about all the random birds everywhere either. I'm used to seeing pigeons and such, but roosters? Just odd, lol.ReplyDelete
