The one with coffee at a factory

Back in may, I posted about a walk me + mum had to a former factory, back in april. After walking around and enjoying the building that once was a soup factory (and taking lots of pictures), we wanted to have a drink and a bite, so we visited First Things First. Just look at how wonderfully awesome this place is! This post is not sponsored, I just like to share and show some of the things going on, and places worth visiting in my hometown.

I opted for a cafe latte and (my first ever!) piece of red velvet cake. Mum choose a chocolate milk and apple crumble (made on the spot and served warm, yum!). A coffee roastery, named Blommers, is located in the same building. You can actually see the whole process of coffee roasting from your table!

We ran into critters of different sorts outside

Spotted some streetart on our way back home,

And a pretty door ;-)

First Things First is located at the Honigcomplex, Waalbandijk 14B in Nijmegen

  5. Looks so good! That is a place I'd love to visit. We found a cool coffee shop and modern art gallery around the corner from where we've been staying. No cool milk art in our coffees, though!

  8. I have mixed feelings about converted factories, they can turn out kind of creepy or really cool, and this one definitely falls in the latter category! Love the walls and all the details you captured!

  9. Wow, what a cool place! I love converted factories, one of my favourite gigs I ever played was in a converted factory and there was all this industrial broken conveyor belt stuff everywhere. It was weird but so awesome. That little critter in a bucket is cute as well! x

  12. Industrial look and minimalism are so in today! Even several branches of Starbucks in Manila are beginning to carry the industrial look.

    1. THe industrial look is a trend I really like. I also like that the items were built to last, the quality is often very good. Which may be different from things produced nowadays.
