Two weeks ago I visited the
Afrika Museum with my mom. Although it's only a 10 minute car ride away, the last time I visited the museum, was over 20 years ago. It has a unique collection of both traditional and contemporary art from Africa. The museum consists of two parts, indoor and outdoor. Indoors were two temporary exhibitions, one with photographs from the Masaai in Kenia, and the other one was titled Mythical Animals. Outside, visitors can experience rebuilt African architecture, from several countries.

View from the museum to the main road. It was such a beautiful, warm and sunny day!
Not a part of the museum, but this could be seen from the outside part of the museum. We have absolutely no idea what it was, or how to get closer to it. I wanted to ask, but I forgot....
And some sort of selfie
I love the fact that the museum has an outdoor component as well:) These huts are pretty cool, and I love those colourful bowls and pots!
ReplyDeleteI love outdoor museums! This looks like a great place to visit some time. Hello, friendly goat :) The colorful sculpture? looks interesting.

ReplyDeletelooks interesting
ReplyDeleteSuch a lot of variety in one museum--the colors are amazing, and the animals!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool looking museum! Isn't it funny how the things closest to home are sometimes the things we visit least often?
ReplyDeleteWoah what a riot of pattern and texture! Gorgeous! Thanks for taking us along with you on the adventure :) Always fun to visit things that are right in our proverbial backyard all along finally, haha. I need to do the same...
