The one with the Afrika Museum

Two weeks ago I visited the Afrika Museum with my mom. Although it's only a 10 minute car ride away, the last time I visited the museum, was over 20 years ago. It has a unique collection of both traditional and contemporary art from Africa. The museum consists of two parts, indoor and outdoor. Indoors were two temporary exhibitions, one with photographs from the Masaai in Kenia, and the other one was titled Mythical Animals. Outside, visitors can experience rebuilt African architecture, from several countries.

Part of the Mythical Animals exhibition

View from the museum to the main road. It was such a beautiful, warm and sunny day!

Not a part of the museum, but this could be seen from the outside part of the museum. We have absolutely no idea what it was, or how to get closer to it. I wanted to ask, but I forgot....

And some sort of selfie

  6. What a cool looking museum! Isn't it funny how the things closest to home are sometimes the things we visit least often?

  7. Woah what a riot of pattern and texture! Gorgeous! Thanks for taking us along with you on the adventure :) Always fun to visit things that are right in our proverbial backyard all along finally, haha. I need to do the same...
