The one with the things I liked this week (136)

Lunch and a walk in Amsterdam with friend H. We hadn't seen eachother for a long time, so lots of catching up to do. I loved the trainride to Amsterdam, so I had some time to get some reading done.

A happy mailbox and a hungry me! Thanks Diane :-)

Seeing this car on my way to the mailbox. I think it gets rustier each time we meet

I managed to get one of the plants killed I got a couple of weeks ago. Poor thing. My neighbours do have green thumbs though, and I can enjoy the goodies that are on their balcony, like this one.

Made me smile, never knew that's what they were supposed to look like!

Enjoy your sunday! I'll have breakfast somewhere good, and the plan is to visit our local museum. What are your plans for today?

The one with the things I liked this week (88)

Some random photo's from last week. And yes, I do realise most of them involve food :-)

Discovering a new brand of icecream. It's vegan and there are lots of other exciting flavours, like basil & lime, and strawberry & red pepper.

We received a paper edition of DaWanda's winter Lovebook. The online version can be found over here. So far, I could only find the German edition.

On wednesday my aunt surprised us around lunchtime with cheese with fenugreek from a local cheesefarm. I can't believe I've never been there. Although I can imagine it would be quite a dangerous place for me....

Adding some colour to our workspace with some plants, hopefully they are resilient little guys!

If you're already in the mood to do some holiday shopping, or to treat yourself to a little something, Society6 offers free shipping today and tomorrow through this link. Also, in our DaWanda shop you'll receive a 15% discount on everything, until next thursday. Cheers to the weekend, hope you'll have a good one. See you next week!

The one with the greens

Last saturday I tagged along with mum to the garden centre. I got some lovely lavender and in two weeks I have a 'gardening date' with a friend, to make the balcony summer proof. It has been looking kind of sad after winter. Sorry for the amount of photo's in this post, it became a bit picture heavy....

The one with the things I liked this week (part 51)

I think this is the first plant I've ever bought for myself. More on this next monday in a DIY post.
Ofcourse, I didn't make the plant myself, but it needed a place to live in :-)

I never say 'no' to tea and cake. The Dutch name for this kind of cake is 'vlaai'.

Taking some new product pictures for some of my Etsy listings

The one with our day in Amsterdam (part 1)

Last sunday I visited Amsterdam together with my mom. We were only there for one day, but we did and saw so much, that is felt like we were gone for the whole weekend. I made so many pictures that I am going to make a two parter out of this one (I don't want to bore you with all of the pictures in one post).

The original plan was to visit the recently reopend Rijksmuseum. Some of the most important Dutch works of art can be seen here, like the Night Watch. When we arrived, the line was crazy long, so we decided we should come back another time. Instead, we went to Foam (the photography musem). The highlight was the exhibition Best Before End, with photo's made by English photographer Stephen Gill. If you're interested in , here's a bit more info, including a short video.

Sunday also happened to be the Open Garden Days. The museum's garden is usually closed to the public, but yesterday we were allowed to have a little look in the garden. I did feel a bit silly, that people came especially for the garden of the museum, and that I was only having eyes for an old fence. I am sure there were some very special plants and flowers.

The one with all the green stuff

For my birthday, my granny, my mom and her boyfriend, gave me a new camera for my birthday back in april. These pictures are the result of me giving it a try. My mom is growing all sorts of green stuff in the garden. I haven't got a clue what it is, some sorts of lettuce? Maybe next year they could give me a green thumb. I can tell apart a tulip from a rose, but that's about it!
