One of my favourite websites is Jak & Jil, and that's where the inspiration for this easy DIY projects comes from. I often wear rolled up trousers (I am not that tall). I loved the idea of giving my old jeans a bit of va-va-voom. I got the trimming from Atelier Luna, thanks Eefje!
What you'll need:
- trimming
- scissors
- clear nailpolish
- hobby glue, I used E6000
- a pair of jeans
Cut the trimming the right size so it fits the back part of the trouser leg.
Keep it from running with the help of clear nailpolish.
turn your trousers inside out and apply the trimming with glue
Let the glue dry
And they're ready to wear!
Ohh nice!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea, Marieken!
ReplyDeleteI have to try this next time instead of shortening my jeans, as I normally do :)
What a fun DIY! I usually can't find jeans long enough to begin with...lol. But if I do, I'll keep this in mind.
ReplyDeleteAwesome...I have a red pair of jeans need to be shorten....this is actually a perfect solution! Thank you so much Marieken!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty cool! I am also not very tall, thank you for a great solution. :)
ReplyDeleteYour version is much better. And can I have your shoes? :D
ReplyDeleteIf I can have those super warm Ugg boots ;-)
DeleteThat is really interesting. I'm not sure if I'm bold for that style but I do like the gold trimming.
ReplyDeleteCute! My pants never have extra length on them because I'm so tall, but I bet I could do this around the outside of the hem and it would look just as cool. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute DIY, thank you for sharing Marieken!
ReplyDeleteI love this, I remember glamming up my jeans in junior high and having the best time, so I love that it's coming back!
ReplyDeleteThis is totally awesome! I'm 5'2, so join you in needing "petite" wear. I'm definitely going to be trying this trick!
ReplyDeleteI love this DIY. It looks fun and easy enough for anyone to do.

Very clever! And there are so many different directions you could go with the trim!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I'm a shortie so this idea would work for me!
ReplyDeleteE6000 should stay on in the washing machine. I washed it one time now, and the trimming is still there :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'm on the talker side, but this makes me want to buy extra long pants just to try it. Great DIY!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I need to do this to my jeans this week!!! I love rolled up pants and yours look awesome:) Excited:) Muah, love.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea! I think rolled up trousers look amazing, especially with brogues, and I love the gold trim you chose xx
ReplyDeleteWas just about to ask this! I'd definitely try it then! I have a ton of fun vintage trims & I'm super short so I could use the added accessory :)
