Last month I treated myself to popsicles molds and immediately put them to good use by making strawberry and greek yoghurt popsicles. In the comments Kerry from Love Those Hands at Home suggested to make boozy ones the next time. Sounded like a perfect plan to me! So here you have it, boozy popsicles, inspired by a cocktail I like: Amaretto sours.
What you'll need:
- half a lemon
- a big glass of cloudy applejuice
- a big tablespoon of honey
- a shotglass of Amaretto
Squeeze the juice from the lemon
In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients and give a good stir
Fill the molds, I had enough mixture for five popsicles
Put the molds in the freezer, I let them freeze for 24 hours
Have you ever made boozy treats? Or do you have a favourite cocktail recipe that might be turned into popsicles?
Those turned out great! I like Amaretto too :)

ReplyDeleteOK, that's it! You've just convinced me to buy some molds. Yummy & fun!
ReplyDeleteThose sound wonderful. Will definitely have to try this.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm...I love Amerreto sours! These would be great party treats!
ReplyDeleteNever tried one, but they sound great. I'm off alcohol right now because of meds, but I'll save this in my recipe file.
ReplyDeleteI think they would taste good without the amaretto too!
DeleteThey look and sound yum! I love Amaretto too :)
ReplyDeleteOooooo....sounds like a great adult treat:D TY for sharing, Marieken.
ReplyDeleteMmm.. great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh my, these sound awesome. I've never made boozy popsicles, but at a party I had boozy gummy bears. :-)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm....Ameretto! I bet these were yummy.
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time I totally failed at making alcoholic ice cubes. I have to admit I haven't really tried again since! I like that these have Amaretto instead of the usual vodka or rum. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI actually had an Amaretto Sour for the first time the other day and it was delicious, what a genius idea to turn it into a popsicle! I love Amaretto so I don't know why I hadn't had one before. These look perfectly refreshing, summery and a bit naughty all at the same time :) xx
ReplyDeleteSweetest and colorful post! Amaretto..... just got a new life!
ReplyDeleteIf only my husband took my suggestions this seriously! ;-) These sound wonderful and I'm glad to see they froze well, even with the alcohol in them. I think the possibilities are endless!
ReplyDeleteI was a bit surprised they froze! Maybe it's the amount of alcohol?
