OWS - Waterline
Bleachers & Sia - Like a river runs
Nate Ruess & Beck - What this world is coming to
Last weekend I had a little Call the Midwife marathon, and one of the episodes had this wonderfully, cheery song in it. Normally I am not a big fan of period dramas, but this one really got me hooked! I have one more episode left, which probably will be watched after work, and I hope Netflix will have the fourth season available soon. Are you a fan of the English nuns and nurses?
Alma Cogan - Never do a tango with an eskimo
Great roundup today! I love Sia, and Nate Ruess has been one of my favorites since he was in a band called The Format when I was in college. :-)
ReplyDeleteWould it be amazing if Sia and Nate Ruess did a song together?
DeleteGreat clips. I love the Alma Cogan tune. So fun.
ReplyDeleteI started watching Call The Midwife when they started airing it on our public station in the U.S. But then it got removed from our cable's On Demand viewing. But now I have have Netflix too and want to pick it up again! I was loving the show but I believe I only saw season 1. Such a fantastic show set in a difficult time dealing with difficult situations!
It's so well made, I love the clothes and how ladies dressed up in that time, and sister Monica Joan, she's one of my favorites. Netflix is very addictive and dangerous!
DeleteYay! I love your music roundups! I didn't know Nate Ruess was putting out a solo album...he has SUCH a great voice. I saw him with FUN a couple of years ago, perform outdoors in Vancouver. It was amazing :)
ReplyDeleteSo, SO glad you like Call the Midwife! I wish we lived closer and could have had our CTM marathon together. We could have shared some campari ;) (I love Trixie on that show!).
Have a lovely week, dear M...
I didn't know about the album as well, discovered it today on Spotify. A CTM marathon sounds like fun, maybe we could add some cheese and nachos in the mix too, bet they would be a good addition to the campari.... I actually started watching it because of you recommending it! Normally those period dramas aren't my cup of tea, but I so much like this one! Maybe I should give Downton Abbey a go too. I've heard many good things about it.
DeleteCheese and nachos it is! Yes: period dramas are hit or miss. I LOVE Downton. It's hard waiting for the next season. I'm currently watching "Land Girls". It's good too.
DeleteI love learning about new music on your posts!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that, I love discovering new thing on blogs too!
DeleteTotally smitten with "Like a river runs" - what a gem! Kisses, sweetie.
ReplyDeleteOh nice! Thanks for sharing this. I love new tunes to work to :)
