The one with the glitter vases DIY

I have a love for all things shiny and glittery. With the holidays getting closer, I feel like I can stuff my home with sparkly stuff, without any judgement. Back in january I made this glitter trinket dish, and had some leftover glitter. Except for shiny things, I love to make good use of my craft supplies and use up all leftovers. The vases are small treasuries acquired at a thriftshop visit. 

What you'll need

• glitter in a small bowl
• glue
• a brush
• tape
• a large piece of paper to cover your workspace and prevent it from getting glitterfied

 

 What you'll need to do:

Tape

Cover the bottom part of the vases with glue

Dip the vases in the bowl with glitter

Let them dry, I placed them on a coin, to keep them from getting glued to the paper

Carefully remove the tape, and you're done!

The one with the paper ornaments

Earlier this month, my blog bud Mia from MossyJojo asked me to join in on a DIY party. I love parties, and I love making things. So, yes please! For this DIY post I made paper ornaments.

The theme: Christmas
The challenge: up to 4 materials only

What you'll need:

• paper strips, I used strips of semi transparant paper, that are 30 x 2,5 cm (around 12 x 1 inch)
• twine
• needle
• thread

What you'll need to do:

These are super easy to make, I think the pictures don't need any explanation.

I think they needles doesn't count as one of the four materials, so I guess I was allowed to make these too. Before cutting the paper up in strips, I made lines with a ruler, added some neon washi tape, and wrote some titles of Christmas songs on the paper. I also experimented a bit with different sizes.

The one with the paper and pencil gift guide

When it comes to certain things, I am a bit old fashioned. Although I love all of the awesomeness internet has to offer, I am still a pencil and paper kind of girl and thought it might be a cool theme for another holiday gift guide. Here is the third collection of gift ideas (1 and 2 are here). This one is filled with gorgeous and affordable art. All of them are under € 10,- (14 USD).

I am most excitited about the Charlotte's web art print. Charlotte's web was my favourite movie as a kid. Not the one with real people and real animals, but the cartoon version. It's a bit odd that I liked this movie so much, because I have had the most terrible fear of spiders for as long as I can remember. What's your favourite childhood movie? The one with the vintage giftguide

Is it too soon to talk Christmas yet? I sure hope not! To find my family and friends a special something for the holidays, I have started a treasury hunt on Etsy . I thought it might be fun to make some giftguides the coming weeks. This one is (as you might have figured out from this posts' title) for your friend (or aunt, or neighbour) who likes vintage. Unfortunately, I am on a bit of a budget, so I've been looking for goodies that are budget-friendly. These are all under € 10 euro's (or in dollars, they're all under $ 14,-).
