The one with a shop update and the MuseumMarket

Happy friday! I've been doing some updates on my shops. Besides the day job, I've been working on some new postcards, added some new photo's to Society6 (they offer free shipping at the moment) and I turned some doodles into temporary tattoos (those need to be photographed, edited and listed, but I am so excited about the result that I wanted to share some of that too!)

Framed mini cooper

Mill cards

Other than that, this sunday I will be attending my first market. Not as a buyer, but as a seller. I am getting a bit nervous now that we're getting closer to the weekend. As an introvert, I like selling online, but actually getting out there, that's a whole different thing! Lucky for me, my friend Eefje  from Atelier Luna will be coming along. I've been sewing some garlands to make our booth look pretty, and mom has been folding giftbags from old magazines, in case I make some sales :-).
I'm still thinking on what to bring. I did manage to pack some things, but I am hoping to get everything together today. In case you have any wise words, or tips, please feel free to share them in the comments below!

  1. Your temporary tattoos will be so fun! Cute idea. I think those would sell really well in a market type setting. Your bags too! Luckily you will have a friend with you this Sunday. My biggest piece of advise would be to relax and have fun with it! I think having items' prices clearly marked is important since shoppers can feel uncomfortable asking a price. Wishing you the best of luck!

    1. You're right about the pricing. We went to another market, to get some inspiration for our booth, and we saw some really good looking items, but they weren't priced, and the seller was nowhere to be seen. If they weren't expensive, we may have gotten some!

  2. I'm an online seller only, so I'm sorry I don't have any tips to share, but I wish you the best of luck and lots of happy sales! I'm sure you will do well with your lovely items. I must check out your temporary tattoos. How exciting :)

    1. I've had the materials to make them for quite a while, and I thought this market may be the perfect occasion to test how people like them :-)

All the best for the market :), I did a few when we were in Dallas, I also agree with pricing tip and comfy shoes..don't forget taking the business cards & handing over to anyone who stops by....they might buy later online (I once forgot to take mine) other than that keep smiling:)
    Happy Sales!

  6. I'm an introvert, too, and know exactly how you feel--I was full of nerves when I did my first face-to-face event! It was actually quite a lot of fun and I learned things about how people perceived my items that I could never have learned on Etsy. Make yourself a little kit, with things like scissors, a pen, tape, etc.--even if you don't need those things, someone will and you'll be their angel! Have fun and report back to us!

    1. I took all the items you mentioned, but next time (which there might be!) I'll need to get them all together in a little box, so I don't have to go through all of the other items to find them :-)

  7. Have fun today! I think your products are great and they will speak for them selves, so no worries about you being introvert!

  8. I love your temporary tattoos - that pineapple is the cutest! I hope your stall went well. I did my first real-life stall recently and I found it quite a lot of hard work! It's fun to meet people though, epecially other sellers xx
